All 28 chapter routes and print plates for the night-by-night guide

Book route
28 nights · 261 observing targets included
Saved in this browser and used in both PNG and SVG exports.
Plates compose at a fixed landscape layout; the disc is rendered at the chosen resolution for print. 3× ≈ 300 dpi across an 18-inch page.
    Terminator & phase
Deep night is nearly black, while a broad transition beside the terminator progressively reveals the underlying map. Day 0 = new; about day 15 = full.
    Labels
Labels appear adaptively as you zoom. 0 = auto by zoom; 1–3 force a tier.
    Drawing style
Layered pencil strokes replace pointillism and remain legible at high magnification.
    View
Rotate the lunar disc continuously; route markers, labels and exported plates follow the chosen angle.
Drag to pan · scroll or pinch to zoom · double-click to magnify.
    Observing route
Text file, one point per line:
    lat, lon in selenographic degrees
    e.g. -43.3, -11.2 (Tycho) or 43.3S 11.2W.
Points get red numbers joined by a red dotted line.
    Base map (optional) Loading moon_contrast_local.jpg…
Load an equirectangular lunar mosaic (longitude −180…180, latitude −90…90). Its actual light and dark detail drives the pencil rendering.
